This particular shape is very Japanese but the design and color is inspired from Thai celadon ware.
When you stay in a traditional Japanese Inn which usually comes with breakfast and dinner, these kind (size) of plate are very common. I can imagine pickles in here. Small portion of braised veggies, salty egg roes or even a potato salad ! Japanese love little portions. If you are not going Japanese, you can put nuts, chocolates or a cubed cheese!
ジャンルで言うと小鉢でしょうか？使い勝手は日本風、でも絵付けはタイのセラドン焼きを意識して作ってみました。漬物、ちょっとした酢の物、ナッツとか甘い物でも可愛いでしょう。自由自在に使ってみましょう。
