If you are into coffee and especially hand dripped coffee, you should give this place a try. I’ve drop by this place and the main branch in Bangkok many times when hand dripped coffee was still are rare thing in Thailand. Now, thanks to the popularity of coffee, you can find hand dripped coffee in anywhere in Thailand, but I do drop by this place just to check the trend of the coffee in Thailand. The owner behind Gallery Drip Coffee are one of the first to set the Thai coffee beans trends and are always doing something new. One our last visit, they were developing new coffee dripper and was getting ready for a coffee fair in Japan !

Gallery Drip Coffee is a bit difficult to find. It’s located on the first floor of Chiangmai Cultural Center. You do not need to pay the admission fee to go to Gallery Drip Coffee but you have to approach from the side of the building. Asking the staff will be the easiest way to get there. カリスマ的なカフェ、Gallery Drip Coffee

バンコクにも支店があるコーヒー好きなら一度は行った事があるカフェです。バンコクはここ最近ずっとコーヒーブームです。そしてそのブームの先駆けがGallery Drip Coffee のオーナーでもあります。ハンドドリップコーヒーを流行らせた人の一人、タイでのコーヒー豆栽培の先駆け、地元の豆をより入れ、広めた人でもあります。バンコク支店はバンコク芸術文化センター通称BBACの一階にあり、小さなお店ながら、趣があり、いつも人でごった返してます。ここチェンマイ店もチェンマイ文化芸術館の一階にありますが、ちょっとわかりにく場所の為、芸術館に観光客が居なければ、割と空いてて、穴場です。今回久しぶりに行ったのですが、ドリップコーヒーそのものと言うより、コーヒーをベースにしたカクテル的なドリンクが人気らしく力を入れていました。カフェの雰囲気は相変わらすのんびりしてて、とても落ち着きます。あと、常連客の感じ落ち着いてて、うるさくなく長居出来る貴重な場所。近くへ寄ったら是非立ち寄ってみて下さい。
